DURING 2023 THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED 1,191 FREE LEGAL SERVICES TO VERY LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS THROUGH LEGAL AID CLINIC APPOINTMENTS (TELEPHONIC AND ZOOM MEETINGS), INDIVIDUAL TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS, REFERRALS (1,021), HEARINGS AND WORKSHOPS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO TRAINED VOLUNTEERS AND LAW STUDENT INTERNS TO SERVE, WITH ~189 VOLUNTEERS SERVING IN 2023. THERE WERE 12 MONTHLY CLINICS IN 2023. OUR ANNUAL SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR LAW STUDENTS WAS NOT HELD IN 2023 DUE TO THE UNEXPECTED RESIGNATION OF OUR DIRECTOR OF LEGAL PROGRAMS SHORTLY BEFORE RECRUITING SEASON, BUT IS SCHEDULED TO RESUME IN 2024.
