WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AND HOSPITALS, SOME OF THE WAYS THEY MITIGATE BARRIERS AND ASSIST VICTIMS OF CRIMES IS BY HELPING WITH PROTECTIVE ORDER FILINGS, VICTIM COMPENSATION AND OTHER PAPERWORK,COURT ACCOMPANIMENT, RAPID-REHOUSING, PROVIDING EMERGENCY HOTEL STAYS WHILE HELPING TO FIND A BED IN A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER, FOSTERING PETS WHILE VICTIMS ARE IN SHELTER, EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE, FINANCIAL TOOLS, HELPING WITH THE HEALING PROCESS, COUNSELING, STEPS TOWARD INDEPENDENCE AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY FOR LONG-TERM IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE.
