One of the organization's missionary families serving overseas welcomed a child in August who experienced severe medical complications immediately after birth. Within minutes, the infant was transported by ambulance to another hospital and, shortly thereafter, transferred again to a larger medical facility for specialized care. Approximately eight days after birth, the parents were informed that the child required medical treatment beyond what was available in that country and would need t o leave t o receive life-saving care. In response, funds were raised through a GoFundMe campaign and additional fundraising efforts t o cover the cost o f an emergency medical transport via a specialized, medically equipped aircraft. The child and her family were subsequently transported to the United States, where she received critical, life-saving treatments and surgeries. Ongoing support has been necessary, as the child continues to require extensive medical care, including additional surgeries and treatments. Funds raised have also been used to assist the family with living, transition, and other essential expenses, enabling them to remain in the United States where teh child can access the necessary medical care.
