Christian Home Educators of Ohio organizes and hosts an annual convention. At this convention families who homeschool have the opportunity to network with each other. They have the opportunity to attend workshops and lectures on homeschooling techniques and issues. Vendors of homeschooling materials and products present and offer for sale items necessary for effective home education. Christian Home Educators of Ohio creates and produces a bi-monthly magazine called The Ohio Home School Companion that reviews orgaization activities and keeps the reader informed of may other topics like legislative changes that can affect home educators or advice on educating skills Christian Home Educators of Ohio offers focused assistance to all its members as in their Mission Statment. Membership consists of paid memberships and complimentary memberships including widows and widowers and other honorary memberships. Members have access to Support Group Leaders who are also members. CHEO is also a source of discounted resource and instructional materials for home-schooling members.
