OEFFA grew farmer know-how through high quality educational programs designed to help producers meet new challenges and succeed. Farm tours featured pasture-based livestock, specialty crops, and more. We provided beginning farmers training and mentoring on business and financial management, supported aspiring farmers to gain hands on experience, and provided direct technical assistance to producers transitioning to certified organic production. Our members and supporters engaged in grassroots advocacy at the state and federal levels to ensure policies that support and benefit sustainable and organic family-scale farmers are enacted.
