The Hudson Library and Historical Societys holdings include 250,000 items. The building is 55,000 square feet with the area divided into children adult archives teen and popular libraries. During the year the Hudson Library and Historical Society gives or hosts many programs of interest to the community. Award-winning authors come and give book talks and there are musical and theatrical performances almost weekly. The Childrens department has story hours of reading skills Kindermusik of the awareness of the arts and animal bubble and music shows for entertainment. The library provides many programs dedicated to entrepreneurial and business studies. In 2025 the library over 1,200 programs mostly virtual with over 44,800 in total attendance.
