THESE EXPENSES ACCOUNT FOR THE DIRECT COSTS INCURRED TO PROVIDE CHARITABLE SERVICES TO THE NEEDY OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA. THESE EXPENSES INCLUDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR HELP WITH RENT AND UTILITIES, FOOD PURCHASED TO DISTRIBUTE TO THE HUNGRY AND THE MATERIAL GIVEAWAY PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS THOSE IN NEED TO RECEIVE CLOTHING, FURNITURE AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD GOODS, FREE OF CHARGE. ALSO INCLUDED IS THE ORGANIZATION'S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES CHRISTMAS FOOD AND TOYS TO NEARLY 1,461 FAMILIES ANNUALLY. IN TOTAL, NEARLY 44,370 ST. JOSEPH COUNTY RESIDENTS BENEFITED FROM THE WORKS OF THE SOCIETY DURING THE LAST FISCAL YEAR.
