SENIOR CENTER (HORIZON CENTER) / HEALTH PROMOTIONS/ INFORMATION ASSISTANCE: PROVIDES A MEETING PLACE FOR SENIORS TO PARTICIPATE IN GROUP ACTIVITES INCLUDING LUNCH PROGRAMS, CLASSES, HEALTH PROGRAMS AND OTHER SOCIAL INTERACTION OPPORTUNITIES. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2021, THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 706 DIFFERENT PARTICIPANTS AT ACTIVITIES AT THE FOUR HORIZON CENTERS INCLUDING VARIOUS CRAFT, COOKING, KNITTING INSTRUCTION AS WELL AS BINGO, EUCHER AND OTHER GROUP ACTIVITIES. ADDITIONALLY, LIMITED SERVICES WERE PROVIDED THROUGH OUR EXISTING SATELLITE CENTERS IN NEARBY MORRISTOWN, FAIRLAND, AND WALDRON COMMUNITIES, ALL LOCATED IN SHELBY COUNTY.
