ILPA is a vibrant nonpartisan network of land trusts, conservation partners, and community members. Our alliance champions land and water protection for all of Indiana. In 2023, ILPA delivered in-person and online programming. We convened members for events such as a 3-day stewardship retreat, a spring gathering, an events-focused workshop, and webinars on topics such as partnerships, planning for the 2024 eclipse, navigating new state procedures, and fundraising for stewardship. We provided tuition for 13 land stewards to attend a 2-day sedge conference. We launched a new website, published our first-ever State of the Lands report, and developed new programs such as the Indiana Wetlands Challenge, providing a curated guide featuring 35 publicly accessible wetlands around the state, selfie and interpretive signs, and outreach materials for members to share with their communities. We created new ways for land trusts and the public to engage with their elected officials and demonstrate their support for Indiana nature. Further, we invested significant time in building new partnerships and collaborations to advance our mission.
