NONPROFIT VET CLINIC - THE MONROE COUNTY HUMANE ASSOCIATION (MCHA) HAS BEEN DEDICATED TO ADVANCING ANIMAL WELFARE SINCE 1956, PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE VETERINARY SERVICES,PET CARE RESOURCES, AND HUMANE EDUCATION. AS A LEADING ADVOCATE FOR ANIMALS IN OUR COMMUNITY, MCHA CONTINUES TO CHAMPION THE RIGHTS AND WELLBEING OF PETS AND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM. IN 2024, THROUGH OUR NONPROFIT VETERINARY CLINIC, MCHA PROVIDED MORE THAN 134,000 IN FREE VETERINARY CARE TO PETS IN NEED - ENSURING FAMILIES WITH LIMITED FINANCIAL RESOURCES COULD ACCESS ESSENTIAL SERVICES FOR THEIR ANIMALS.

OUTREACH - IN 2024, MCHA'S MOBILE CLINICS SERVED 624 PETS ACROSS UNDERSERVED AREAS OF MONROE COUNTY, DELIVERING VITAL VACCINE AND WELLNESS SERVICES DIRECTLY TO THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST. OUR PET FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTED 28,138 POUNDS OF PET FOOD TO HUNGRY PETS. WE PROVIDED 1,450 DAYS OF CRISIS HOUSING FOR PETS WHOSE OWNERS WERE IN TEMPORARY CRISIS, ENSURING THEY REMAINED SAFE AND CARED FOR. THROUGH OUR STREET OUTREACH PROGRAM, WE DELIVERED VETERINARY WELLNESS CARE TO 500 PETS BELONGING TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNHOUSED OR EXPERIENCING HOUSING INSTABILITY. ADDITIONALLY, MCHA ISSUED 225 SPAY/NEUTER ASSISTANCE VOUCHERS TO HELP REDUCE FINANCIAL BARRIERS TO ESSENTIAL PREVENTATIVE CARE.
