LACM provided direct outreach & education to: 351 people for breast and cervical cancer (prevention, intervention and treatment options) 30 people mental health concerns and support 11 people with problem gambling 21 people with domestic and sexual violence 320 people learned about recycling at home, work and play 5800 people received housing related information and resources Specific COVID services included education over 11,954 people on COVID education. Also coordinated with 36 community leaders in fellow AAPI communities to disseminate accurate and timely COVID-19 information LACM provided 1:1 system navigation services. Navigating the social security system with 87 elders Assisting 202 families to access economic supports (i.e. MFIP, SNAP, stimulus checks, etc.) Completing unemployment applications with 92 of those families Providing funeral assistance to 23 families Facilitating access to resources for 99 families with their emergency housing needs including 32 applications to energy assistance Navigating systems and Navigating systems and services for 51 elders in accessing resources (healthcare, legal, housing, financial, etc.) Facilitating access to community gardening for 22 families . Providing specific cultural and in-language support to 230 individuals who contacted the through our general assistance line Engaged 166 small businesses owners with direct education. Direct outreach to 72 small business owners in the 7-county metro area of which approximately 65% applied for the PPP loan or other grant program . Scheduling testing appointments for 59 community residents . Providing direct food assistance to 33 families Assisted 72 families in completing unemployment applications Assisted 16 families with burial and funeral support Assisted 44 families in healthcare navigation Assisted 221 families in accessing COVID-19 Housing Assistance Distributed PPE to 3800 families (mask, sanitizer and care packages) LACM staff provide community members with qualified resources and referrals matched to their specific need with via phone, on-line or email. , LACM was able to reach 4683 residents with qualified resources to meet their needs LACM had several outcomes in our core program areas including civic engagement in advance of the US elections and the Census 2020 count. We reached 4,200 people on the Census and 5,600 community member with voter registration information Assisted 87 people on citizenship issues and 230 on immigration issues including green card loss and renewal, visa and passport questions, marriage, and general immigration In 2020, LACM engaged 745 community residents in cultural exhibitions that connect our community to their historical and cultural roots.
