The main focus of the Chicago Chapter is payroll education. We held quarterly meetings and conducted Certified Payroll Professional and Fundamental Payroll Certification Payroll (CPP/FPC) review classes that provided networking opportunities and gave payroll professionals the chance to earn educational credits for attendance. The Chicago chapter supported other charitable activities by volunteering time and making cash donations. As part of National Payroll week, the Chapter hosted a meeting to enhance the understanding of Social Security and Medicare Taxes. The Chapter had meetings and events in 2024 including six CPP and five FPC review courses and Illinois Statewide Payroll Conference; provided presentations on multi-state taxation, garnishments, and year-end preparation. The Chapter attended the PayrollOrg Congress for a social event.
