St. George Corporation is a supporting organization of the Palos Health System, which includes Palos Community Hospital an IRC Section 501(c)(3) Organization.During 2020, the organization supported by St. George Corporation provided service for 17,000 inpatients and 186,000 outpatients at Palos. Palos Medical Group provided 197,000 office visits and Palos Imaging provided more than 47,000 imaging procedures.St. George Corporation committed resources to the formation of Chicago Health Colleagues (CHC), a physician led, clinically integrated network (CIN) in 2015. There are currently about 420 members representing about 70 practices and about 45 specialties, working together with Palos to improve quality, cost and effectiveness of health care services. As hospitals continue to be held more accountable for patient outcomes and cost, CHC is prepared for new value based care and accountability through the use of proven clinical protocols, measures and analytics to demonstrate improved patient care, decreased cost and increased efficiency. The technology and analytics to support clinical integration and population health enables robust data analytics and information sharing even with independent physicians across disparate computer systems. Chicago Health Colleagues has contracts with new and existing payors in the market including large payors for performance based shared savings contracts that offer incentives for the hospital and CHC members working together to improve quality, care coordination and efficiency of care.
