HATTIE LARLHAM CARE GROUP PROVIDES PHYSICAL THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL HOUSED ON HATTIE LARLHAM CENTER OF CHILDREN'S CAMPUS THROUGH AN AGREEMENT WITH THE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY (ESC). THE THERAPY SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO THE CHILDREN WHO ATTEND THE SCHOOL. THE MAJORITY OF THE INDIVIDUALS ATTENDING THE SCHOOL RESIDE IN ONE OF HATTIE LARLHAM CARE GROUP'S SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS. PHYSICAL THERAPY FOCUSES ON DEVELOPING MOBILITY AND CONTROL THROUGH VARIOUS HANDS-ON TECHNIQUES OF MUSCLE RELAXATION, STRETCHING, FACILITATING AND/OR INHIBITING INDIVIDUAL MUSCLES OR WHOLE MUSCLE GROUPS. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY STRIVES TO ACHIEVE AS MUCH INDEPENDENCE AS POSSIBLE IN BOTH PLAY AND SELF-CARE. PROGRAMS FOCUS ON MOVEMENTS TO FACILITATE MOBILITY SO AN INDIVIDUAL CAN PLAY WITH A TOY, PARTICIPATE IN MEALTIMES, BATHE AND DRESS.
