EDUCATIONAL & INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMMING LEARNING IN OUR WATERSHED (LIOW) WAS DESIGNED WITH A SIMPLE MISSION: TO HELP YOUTH UNDERSTAND AND VALUE THE CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER AND THEIR WATER HERITAGE WHILE INSPIRING A NEXT GENERATION OF RIVER STEWARDS. IN 2025, 8,086 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN LIOW FIELD TRIPS WITHIN THE NATIONAL HERITAGE AREA. COMMUNITY OUTREACH: 23,044 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN HERITAGE AREA EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDING THE POUDRE PUB TALK SERIES HELD AT LOCAL BREWERIES, RIVERFEST, THE POUDRE RIVER FORUM, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES SUCH AS BIKE TO WORK DAY AND THE NATIVE SEE AND PLANT EVENT. COMMUNITY GRANTS: THE NHA DISTRIBUTED OVER 30,000 IN GRANT FUNDS TO COMMUNITY PROJECTS THAT SUPPORT THE PRESERVATION, INTERPRETATION, AND DEVELOPMENT OF HERITAGE AREA RESOURCES AND AMENITIES.
