Village Thrift Shop: In addition to providing a great means of reusing and repurposing goods instead of sending them to landfills, our thrift store also gives us the opportunity to provide entry-level jobs to clients in our program, such as cashier and transport truck positions. Our store also offers all clients in our program 80 off our store price and this allows people to buy clothes, appliances, and housewares at significantly reduced prices. We also partner with other nonprofit organizations in our community, and we allow the people they serve to receive significantly discounted prices on all items in our store. All profits from our store go directly to our client programming, and we put nearly $200,000 of profit back into our client programming each year.

Investing in Clients: The heartbeat of our organization is our life transforming pipeline for low-income residents of our community seeking a hand-up. Over the past 22 years we have built a community-wide network of 71 churches, 51 nonprofits, 22 businesses, and 3 government agencies. This network seeks to remove obstacles so our clients can transform their lives. When people experiencing need call Love INC we perform a client-intake to match them with a trained, volunteer mentor who checks-in weekly, creates an action plan, and provides accountability to mutually-agreed-upon goals. As trust grows, the mentor learns what the client needs, and activates our network to meet their needs. As clients stabilize, we encourage them to participate in our life skills curriculum, which includes 8-week courses in subjects such as personal finance, employment, parenting, health + nutrition, and healing from trauma.

The Church Mobilized: Too often, churches don't know how to help our community, and so Love INC provides a structured and coordinated way for churches from across denominational lines to work together to help people experiencing need. Love INC vets each need, and then we mobilize churches to get involved in the lives of people in our community. This can look many different ways, and it includes group service projects, donating vehicles to people in need, contributing supplies to a community-wide personal care pantry which provides goods often lacking from food pantries soaps, detergents, paper towels, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, rallying churches to serve the homeless, and coordinating churches to bless local schools.
