IN 2023, THE GFCC UNIVERSITY AND RESEARCH LEADERSHIP FORUM CONTINUED ITS DISCUSSION ABOUT THE FUTURE OF UNIVERSITIES AND INNOVATION WITH MEMBERS AND HOSTED A FORUM IN SO PAULO, BRAZIL, TO EXCHANGE BEST PRACTICES AND CATALYZE NEW CONNECTIONS ACROSS ITS MEMBERSHIP. THE FORUM INITIATED THE DESIGN OF A NEW PLACE-BASED INITIATIVE. THE GFCC CONTINUED ITS WORK WITH THE JAPAN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AGENCY (JST) AS PART OF THE "DRIVING INNOVATION IN TIMES OF CRISIS" INITIATIVE, HOSTING VARIOUS WORKSHOPS AND DISCUSSIONS ON CRISIS AND RESILIENCE, AND COMMISSIONING RESEARCH ON THE TOPIC. THE GFCC ALSO HELD ITS ANNUAL MEETING AND GLOBAL INNOVATION SUMMIT IN LONDON, UK. THE GFCC PUBLISHED A VARIETY OF REPORTS, THE "INNOVATE THE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE" CALL-TO-ACTION, WHITE PAPERS AND CASE STUDIES.
