We hold weekly Friday night Fish Frys. People from surrounding small towns come out weekly for the good food and to share fellowship with our veterans and their families. We promote Americanism to everyone and provide entertainment for our veterans, as well as for the public. We also open our doors each week for disabled veterans and widows of deceased veterans, as well as current members of the Armed Forces, past members and the general public. We provide Color Guard at parades and patriotic services and festivals. This includes Memorial Day, Wheat Festival in September, and Homecoming parades. Post 233 considers it the utmost honor to be on call for funerals of veterans and fallen soldiers. Periodically throughout the year our members personally visit veterans and bring food, fabors, books, flags, gifts, treats, etc. We visit sick and hospitalized members and veterans. We also help with the welfare of our youth, including Boys State, Girl and Boy Scouts, camps, high school and athletic and public service award sponsors.
