THE GREEN MOUNTAIN CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL HOSTED ITS ANNUAL INTENSIVE FIVE-WEEK PROGRAM OF SOLO AND CHAMBER MUSIC STUDY ON THE CAMPUS OF ST. MICHAEL'S COLLEGE IN COLCHESTER, VT FOR 220 YOUNG STRING PLAYERS ON THE VERGE OF PROFESSIONAL CAREERS. STUDENTS CAME FROM THROUGHOUT THE U.S. THE FESTIVAL'S 38 DISTINGUISHED ARTIST FACULTY MEMBERS PERFORMED A SERIES OF EIGHT WELL-ATTENDED CONCERTS IN THE ELLEY-LONG MUSIC CENTER, WHILE THE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM, CLASSICAL ENCOUNTERS PRESENTED THE FESTIVAL'S EMERGING ARTISTS IN FREE PERFORMANCE IN VENUES IN BURLINGTON AND THROUGHOUT THE AREA.
