Collective Impact - UWMC collaborates with area non-profit organizations and local businesses to solve identified community issue areas in an innovative way, using a collectice impact model. Currently, there are two impact programs, Leveraging Income for Tomorrow (LIFT) and ReGrow Together. These collaborative programs address needs for the at-risk ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population and food insecurity in Midland County.

Camp Neyati - UMWC owns and maintains a 187 acre summer camp located in Clare County, Michigan on Crooked Lake. The facilities consist of a half mile of lakefront, a beach and swimming area, a full commercial kitchen with dining hall, and sleeping accomodations for up to 172 campers. The camp is rented to local church groups, schools, service groups, scouting groups and other organizations for camps lasting weekends to weeks during the summer camping season. All camper programming, leadership, and food is provided by the renting organization. The day-to-day operation of the camp, including a camp director, waterfront director, and the coordination of rental groups is managed by the Greater Midland Community Center with financial support from UWMC.
