COMMUNITIES OVERCOMING VIOLENT ENCOUNTERS (COVE) HAS PROUDLY ASSISSTED VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SINCE 1978 PROVIDING EMERGENCY, CRISIS INTEREVENTION, ADVOCACY AND SAFETY SERVICES INCLUDING EMERGENCY SHELTER 24-HOUR, 365 DAYS A YEAR. THESE PROGRAMS COMPRISED OF CRISIS LINE, EMERGENCY SHELTER AND ADVOCACY SERVICES. COVES SERVICES ARE DEVOTED TO SUPPORT VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SECUAL ASSAULT VICTIMS EMERGENCY NEEDS. THE CRISIS LINE OFFERS SAFETY PLANNING, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, OPTIONS FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND/PR SEXUAL ASSUALT AND REFERRALS AND INFORMATION. ADITIONALLY, COVE PROVIDES LEGAL, MEDICAL, AND PERSONAL ADVOCACY FOR VICTIMS OF COMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT FOR BOTH SHELTER RESIDENTS AND NON-RESIDENTIAL CLIENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN.
