MCTA REPRESENTS THE CABLE TELEVISION AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY IN THE MICHIGAN LEGISLATURE AND MICHIGAN PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION ON ISSUES AFFECTING OUR BUSINESSES AND CUSTOMERS, AND FOSTERS A POSITIVE IMAGE OF THE CABLE INDUSTRY IN MICHIGAN. OUR STAFF AND MEMBERS MEET REGULARLY WITH LAWMAKERS AND REGULATORS TO ENSURE THEY HAVE COMPLETE INFORMATION ABOUT LEGISLATION AND REGULATIONS THAT AFFECT OUR INDUSTRY. WE MAINTAIN A POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE, PROVIDING MEMBERS WITH THE ABILITY TO ASSIST IN THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS. WE ALSO REPRESENT THE INDUSTRY WITH MEMBERS OF THE NEWS MEDIA, AND PROVIDE INFORMATION TO ENSURE THAT CLEAR, ACCURATE COVERAGE OF INDUSTRY POSITIONS CAN BE DELIVERED TO THE PUBLIC.
