In 2024, we had up to 180 students participate in our private music lesson program, including piano, voice, guitar and other private music lessons. Piano & More hosted around 30 community music events such as Open Mics, Musical Field Trips, and Recitals for students and around 5 social events for teachers. These music events help us fulfil our mission of bringing the community together with music. We also have a community outreach program where we partner with title I Virginia schools called Play It Forward- a program that's been operating since 2019. Students in the Play It Forward program receive weekly private piano lessons and piano books, free of charge. We are grateful to provide this access as piano isn't taught in public schools and private piano lessons can be too expensive for low-income families. In 2024, Piano & More provided 156 private lessons to sponsored students at no cost to them.
