Since 1932, the Thrift Shop Association of Ann Arbor Ann Arbor Thrift Shop has directly filled the financial gaps that families face as they struggle to be safely housed or have health-related needs in our community. Clients who are assisted by the Ann Arbor Thrift Shop include the working poor, recently unemployed, and those struggling with substance abuse or homelessness. The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop provides grants to area nonprofit organizations who help the most vulnerable in the community. The source of funds used to meet these emergency needs comes from the sale of donated items, which are collected, curated, and resold in a carefully managed shop. The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop is recognized in the community as a high-quality venue to donate, recycle, and purchase reusable items. Clothing, outerwear, and household items are also directly provided to area residents.
