OUTDOORS: GIRL SCOUT OUTDOOR PROGRAMMING INTRODUCES OUR YOUTH MEMBERS TO A VARIETY OF OUTDOOR AND ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP EXPERIENCES. THESE EXPERIENCES INCLUDE BOTH DAY AND OVERNIGHT ADVENTURES AND CAN INCLUDE ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SIMPLE CAMPFIRE CAMARADERIE, RAFTING, ROCK CLIMBING, NATURE IDENTIFICATION, UNDERSTANDING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT, AND SO MUCH MORE. THE GOAL OF BADGERLAND'S OUTDOOR PROGRAMMING IS TO BOOST CONFIDENCE, FOSTER A CONNECTION WITH NATURE, IMPROVE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH, DEVELOP RESILIENCE AND LEADERSHIP, AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SELF-DISCOVERY. IN 2024, OVER 800 GIRLS PARTICIPATED IN OUTDOOR PROGRAMMING OPPORTUNITIES.

ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPERIENCE: THE GIRL SCOUT ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPERIENCE PROGRAMS ARE AN EXCELLENT WAY FOR MEMBERS TO DEVELOP VALUABLE LIFE SKILLS, PARTICULARLY IN FINANCIAL LITERACY, SALES, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. THESE PROGRAMS NOT ONLY TEACH OUR MEMBERS THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP BUT ALSO HELP THEM BUILD CONFIDENCE AND GAIN REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCES THAT CAN SHAPE THEIR FUTURE CAREERS AND LEADERSHIP ABILITIES. OUR PRODUCT SALE PROGRAMS ALSO HAVE A TANGIBLE IMPACT FOR OUR MEMBERS, TROOPS, AND ORGANIZATION AS A WHOLE. IN 2024, BADGERLAND HAD OVER 5,800 MEMBERS PARTICIPATING IN OUR PRODUCT SALES PROGRAMS WHILE EARNING MORE THAN $1,600,000 IN TROOP PROCEEDS AND REWARDS. THESE PROCEEDS ARE THEN USED BY OUR MEMBERS TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND FURTHER THEIR GIRL SCOUT LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE.
