Healthy Living: The Sheboygan County YMCA is committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families throughout the community. As a leading nonprofit dedicated to healthy living, the YMCA provides programs, services, and resources that promote physical activity, healthy habits, personal growth, and overall wellness. Through fitness programs, recreational sports, aquatic activities, wellness education, and community-based health initiatives, the YMCA brings people together and encourages healthy lifestyles for individuals of all ages. These programs foster meaningful connections, support physical and mental well-being, and help participants achieve greater health in spirit, mind, and body. During the year, more than 7,550 individuals benefited from YMCA healthy living programs and services. These efforts are especially important as communities continue to face challenges related to chronic disease, obesity, mental health concerns, work-life balance, and social isolation. The YMCA serves as a trusted resource, providing guidance and support to individuals seeking to improve their overall health and quality of life. Consistent with its mission, the YMCA ensures that its programs are accessible, affordable, and welcoming to all people regardless of age, faith, background, ability, or income level. Through financial assistance and inclusive programming, the YMCA works to eliminate barriers to participation and create opportunities for all members of the community to pursue healthier, more active lives.

Youth Development: The Sheboygan County YMCA is committed to nurturing the potential of every child and teen by providing programs and services that support healthy development and lifelong success. The YMCA believes all young people deserve opportunities to discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop the skills necessary to thrive. Through a variety of youth development programs, including child care, youth sports, swim lessons and water safety, gymnastics, summer day camps, specialty camps, and outdoor education, the YMCA helps children and teens develop positive values, healthy behaviors, and meaningful relationships. These programs provide experiences that support cognitive, social, physical, and emotional growth while fostering educational achievement and personal responsibility. The Sheboygan County YMCA is proud to serve as one of the largest childcare providers in the community, offering care for children ages six weeks through fourteen years. To ensure access for all families, the YMCA provides membership scholarships and program assistance to children and families facing financial hardship. Approximately 30 percent of the children served through YMCA programs receive financial assistance, enabling participation regardless of economic circumstances. Through these efforts, the YMCA strengthens the community by helping young people reach their full potential and ensuring that all children have access to programs that promote healthy development and long-term success.
