Healthy Living: The Y is here to support healthy living in spirit, mind and body. Since 1844, the Y has provided communities with opportunities for ALL to engage in healthy habits, no matter their starting point and no matter their goals. With a focus on Belonging, Achievement, and Relationships, we understand that the journey to health is more effective and rewarding when engaging with a larger community. We launched LIVESTRONG for cancer survivors, adding this life-enriching program to Rock Steady Boxing and other ForeverWell programming, designed to help people at all stages of life and health thrive. Together with our partners in health care, education, and social service, we prevent and help manage disease and foster social connection, vital to our collective physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Youth Development: At the Y we believe that every child is capable of success; no exceptions. We approach youth development from the perspective that EVERY child can reach their full potential when given the opportunity, the encouragement, and the tools to do so. Y programs and services are designed to keep children safe and nurture their ability to thrive here at the Y, in their homes, in school, and in life. We added 3 year old pre-school and monthly family nights to our youth and family programming this year, providing more healthy, balanced living options for our young families. We anchor our work in building RELATIONSHIPS, supporting ACHIEVEMENTS and strengthening a sense of BELONGING, because we know that when these elements are present, children thrive.

Social Responsibility: The Y is a "third place" for so many people of all ages: when they are not at home or at work or school, they are here: building relationships, achieving goals, and nurturing their sense of belonging in their larger community. This connection is deepened when their time here is spent volunteering, or when given the opportunity to financially support a program that helps others. This year, we enhanced our food service program to respond to families struggling with grocery bills-giving children a full five component nutritious meal while in our care after school (instead of just snacks). All together, we provide our neighbors with opportunities to lift up their neighbors, and our community is stronger as a result.
