COMMUNITY SERVICE: HAP IS PROUD TO SERVE AS AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE TRI-COUNTY COMMUNITY HEALTH IMPROVEMENT COALITION AND THE CITY OF APPLETON COMPREHENSIVE PLAN COMMITTEE, DRIVING KEY INITIATIVES FOR OUR COMMUNITYS FUTURE. HAP ASSISTED IN DATA COLLECTION WITH THE HMONG COMMUNITY. HAP ASSISTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO TAKE SURVEYS FROM THE COALITIONS, HOSTED LISTENING SESSIONS, AND VOLUNTEERED AT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EVENTS TO HELP THE HMONG COMMUNITY BETTER UNDERSTAND EFFORTS. 2. COMMUNITY ECONOMIC IMPACT: IT IS ESTIMATED THAT THE 2024 FOX CITIES HMONG NEW YEAR CELEBRATION HAD AN ATTENDANCE OF OVER 4,000 PEOPLE AND GENERATED A TOTAL ECONOMIC IMPACT OF OVER 1 MILLION DOLLARS THAT INCLUDED 974,000 OF LODGING, FOOD AND BEVERAGE SPENDING, PARKING FEES, AND OTHER PURCHASES. THIS EVENT ALSO CONTRIBUTED AN ESTIMATED 47,500 IN LOCAL SALES TAX REVENUE. 3. VOLUNTEER IMPACT: HAP HAD OVER 160 VOLUNTEERS IN 2024. BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY MEMBERS, YOUTH,AND YOUNG PEOPLE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER AND TAKE ON LEADERSHIP ROLES IN OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND EVENTS HAS REMAINED A GOAL OF OURS TO BUILD CAPACITY, LEADERSHIP SKILLS, AND FUTURE COMMUNITY LEADERS.
