COACHING CLINIC - STATE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACHES ARE BROUGHT TOGETHER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON COMPLEX WHERE THEY ARE INSTRUCTED IN NEW COACHING TECHNIQUES BY HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE, AND NFL COACHES, AS WELL AS OTHER SPEAKERS IN FIELDS RELATED TO THE SPORT OF FOOTBALL. THESE TECHNIQUES INCLUDE TRAINING SESSIONS, OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE SCHEMES, WEIGHT TRAINING, AND OFF-SEASON CONDITIONING PROGRAMS. THE COACHES THEN TAKE WHAT THEY'VE LEARNED BACK TO THEIR RESPECTIVE HIGH SCHOOLS TO IMPLEMENT IN THEIR PROGRAM. ALL THIS IS INTENDED TO MAKE WISCONSIN HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SOME OF THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY.

ALL-STAR GAME - THE STATE HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STAR GAMES INVOLVE 224 ATHLETES AND 36 COACHES FROM THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF WISCONSIN. THERE ARE 3 NORTH TEAMS (LARGE, SMALL & 8 MAN), WITH 1 HOUSED AT UW-RIVER FALLS AND 2 AT UW-STEVENS POINT FOR 4 DAYS AND 3 SOUTH TEAMS (LARGE, SMALL & 8 MAN), WITH 2 HOUSED AT UW-OSHKOSH AND 1 AT UW-WHITEWATER FOR 4 DAYS. THERE ARE 3 GAMES PLAYED AT UW-OSHKOSH ON THE WEEKEND OF THE 3RD SATURDAY IN JULY. NORTH L VS SOUTH L, NORTH S VS SOUTH S, AND NORTH 8 MAN VS SOUTH 8 MAN. A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS ARE DONATED TO CHILDREN'S WISCONSIN.
