SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT: SERVED APPROXIMATELY 55 CLIENTS, SERVICE INCLUDES INDIVIDUAL ASSESSMENT JOB DEVELOPMENT, ON-THE-JOB TRAINING AND ALL NECESSARY CONTINUING SUPPORT. OUR CLIENTELE WILL ALWAYS REQUIRE SOME AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE TO BE SUCCESSFULLY EMPLOYED. ON-THE-JOB TRAINING INCLUDES BOTH WORK AND WORK RELATED SKILLS. WORK RELATED SKILLS INCLUDE RELATIONS WITH COWORKERS AND SUPERVISORS, APPROPRIATE USE OF BREAK TIMES, BUDGETING MONEY AND USE OF SUCH COMMUNITY RESOURCES AS BANKS, LIBRARIES AND SHOPPING AREAS. WE WORK WITH EMPLOYEES TO PROVIDE A GOOD JOB MATCH AND ENSURE THE QUALITY OF THE WORK. RECENT CONSUMER AND EMPLOYER SATISFACTION SURVEYS SHOW A HIGH DEGREE OF SATISFACTION WITH OUR SERVICE. WE COORDINATED OUR SERVICE WITH OTHER VOCATIONAL PROGRAM PROVIDERS, RESIDENTIAL PROVIDERS, THE MADISON PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM, DANE COUNTY PERSONNEL, THE DEPT OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND MEDICAL PROVIDERS THROUGH REGULAR MEETINGS AND FREQUENT TELEPHONE CONTACT. IN ADDITION, OUR STAFF MEET WITH OTHERS IN THE FIELD THROUGH MEMBERSHIP IN PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS, ATTENDANCE AT CONFERENCES AND PARTICIPATION IN JOINT TRAINING EVENTS.
