THE PRESERVATION OF SWISS CULTURAL HERITAGE CONTINUES WITH THE AQUISITION OF HISTORICAL RECORDS AND MATERIAL GOODS THAT WERE DONATED THROUGHOUT 2025. DONATIONS CAME FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY INCLUDING WASHINGTON, ILLINOIS, AND OHIO. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DONATIONS INCLUDE: HISTORICAL FAMILY RECORDS AND GENEALOGIES, GRAPHIC ART POSTERS, SWISS PAPER CUTTING ART, IMMIGRANT LETTERS AND DOCUMENTS, AND IMMIGRANT TRUNK AND CLOTHING. ORGANIZATIONAL EVENTS INCLUDED THE WINTER CELEBRATION OF SILVESTERCHLAUSEN IN JANUARY, AN ANNUAL MEMBERS DINNER IN AUGUST, AN OPEN HOUSE IN AUGUST, AND ADVENTSFENSTER, A COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE EVENT IN DECEMBER. DURING THE YEAR, THE SWISS CENTER WELCOMED VISITORS FROM THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, JAPAN, SOUTH KOREA, AND SWITZERLAND. IN ADDITION, SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE CONTACTED THE SWISS CENTER THROUGH E-MAIL, TELEPHONE AND SOCIAL MEDIA SEEKING ADVICE ABOUT THEIR SWISS ROOTS. WE WORKED TO PROVIDE SUGGESTIONS AND TOOLS FOR THESE INDIVIDUALS TO BEGIN OR FURTHER THEIR SEARCH INTO THEIR SWISS ANCESTRY.
