THE ORGANIZATION REPRESENTS ITS MEMEBERSHIP AND THE STANDARD BREED INDUSTRY AS A NONPROFIT IN NEGOTIATING CONTRACTS WITH RACETRACKS THAT SUPPORT HARNESS RACING IN MINNESOTA. THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS AND PROMOTES HARNESS RACING IN MINNESOTA AND ADVANCES THE BREEDING AND RACING OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE STATE, THUS IMPROVING AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT FOR ITS MEMBERSHIP. THE ORGANIZATION SECURES AND DISTRIBUTES PURSE FUNDS FOR COUNTY FAIRS THAT HOST HARNESS RACING. ALL FUNDS ARE DISTRUBUTED BASED UPON COMPETITIVE, SANCTIONED EVENTS IN A NONDISCRIMINATORY MANNER FOLLOWING THE RULES ESTABLISHED BY THE UNITED STATE TROTTING ASSOCIATION. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HOSTS AWARDS BANQUETS TO RECOGNIZE OWNERS AND DRIVERS OF HORSES THAT ARE SUCCESSFUL THROUGOUT THE YEAR.
