Two Field Representatives collected milk weights and milk samples from each of 8,587 cows in 36 members herds, mostly on a monthly interval. Each milk sample was analyzed for butterfat and protein content, somatic cell counts, pregnancy verification, and mastitis species ID as members requested. The compiled data was presented to universities for research and sire proving purposes. Both uses of the information benefit dairy producers worldwide. The 37 Winona Co. DHIA members used the analyzed data for improved herd management. The 37 Winona Co. DHIA members used the record imformation to produce an average of 25,237 pounds of milk, 1,087 pounds of butterfat, and 822 pounds of milk protein per cow during 2025.
