ANIMAL CARE AND ADOPTION - ANNUALLY, THE ORGANIZATION CARES FOR AND FINDS NEW HOMES FOR NEARLY 400 PETS. AS A NO-KILL FACILITY, THE ORGANIZATION WILL NOT END THE LIFE OF AN ANIMAL IN ITS CARE UNLESS THE ANIMAL IS TERMINALLY ILL OR PRESENTS A MATERIAL DANGER TO HUMAN SAFETY THAT CANNOT BE REMEDIATED THROUGH BEHAVIORAL REHABILITATION. EACH PET IS SCREENED FOR POTENTIALLY FATAL ILLNESSES, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, PROVIDED WITH FLEA AND TICK PREVENTION, MICRO-CHIPPED, AND SPAYED OR NEUTERED. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EACH PET WITH DAILY CARE, INCLUDING FOOD, WATER, TRAINING, SOCIALIZATION, AND MEDICAL CARE AS NEEDED UNTIL A NEW HOME CAN BE FOUND FOR THEM. IT ALSO PARTNERS WITH VARIOUS ANIMAL CONTROL AND IMPOUND CENTERS, AS WELL AS OTHER LOCAL RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS, TO ASSIST IN THE RESCUE AND TRANSFER OF ANIMALS FOR ADOPTION.
