Mixed Blood's mainstage season features plays that lead disparate audiences and artists to new emotional, artistic and social destinations. There are four programmatic pillars that guide our work: climate resilience, affordable housing, mental health, and racial equality. Mixed Blood is a national leader in the creation, development, production and continuation of new plays that connect artists and audiences from various cultures, traditions and communities for common purpose: to confront artificial barriers to success in American Society. Mixed Blood promotes pluralism throughout Minnesota, producing plays in collaboration with rural communities across the state, expanding access to creativity and art making. The Organization also produces plays in people's houses, bringing audiences together in a intimate setting to see a short play, share a meal, and engage in dialogue. Lastly, Mixed Blood aims to respond to the pressing issues that arise in our community by creating Rapid Response programs that use art and creativity to bring community together and serve local needs.
