ALLIANCE FOR SUSTAINABILITY

The SHE Kindness Campaign was created to bring about personal and organizational transformation impactful campaigns and public policies addressing key tipping points for fundamental system change. In addition to an updated website a weekly e-Newsletter and social media it has 4 elements: 1 Our Dec 2020 Declaration of Co-creation and Interdependence our bold statement of being & action that we encourage others to sign 2 Our High impact Campaigns and Public Policy with our partners; 3 Our SHE Kindness Business Program launched in April 2021 with a Target Corporation Earth Month presentation for several hundred staff and 4 Our SHE Kindness School Program a youth leadership development education and action program in which we do presentations to students from 20 middle and high schools 10 of which are in under-served communities to take action at school home and in the community. The Alliance is powered by diverse dynamic college students and graduates from MN and across the country who share their passion and commitment in helping to lead all aspects of the Alliance's programs. The Alliance has developed a partnership with benefit business Inclusivi-tee in which we promote the new e-book You Can Save the Word and conduct two Sustainability Challenge events and a weekly half-hour podcast. The Anishinaabe Agricultural Institute AAI works for agro-diversity by restoring local food systems hemp production and usage and growing traditional heritage plant varieties. Machinery needed for hemp decortification and processing was acquired. Acquired land has been used for farming operations that use horses and that grow traditional crop varieties of potatoes corn beans squash and tobacco. Youth from Dakota Lakota and Mesquakie as well as Anishinaabe youth come for the program's training in traditional agriculture use of horses and traditional healing methods. On Dec 23 2020 we signed an agreement to "spin off" the AAI project to a different fiscal sponsor called Akiing 8th Fire so at that point in time it could assume fiscal sponsorship responsibility and oversight going forward over the operation of the project. The zeroing out of the asset and liability balances of the AAI project was accomplished by a balancing entry made to a "Grant to Others" expense account. The $204645 grant amount shown above was for the spin-off to Akiing 8th Fire the new fiscal sponsor.
