KENYON SENIOR LIVING SUPPORT- THE FOUNDATION RAISES MONEY TO HELP THE SUPPORT OF KENYON SENIOR LIVING AND ADMINISTERS THE FUNDS RAISED.THE ACTIVITIES FUND SUPPORTS VARIOUS EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES HELD BY THE ACTIVITIES DEPARTMENT AT THE KENYON SENIOR LIVING. FOR EXAMPLE, IT SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING: ANNUAL BBQ FAMILY PICNIC, CHRISTMAS TEA, FASHION SHOWS, MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT 2-4 TIMES A MONTH, GAMES, PRIZES, CRAFT PROJECTS AND MATERIALS, SPECIAL EVENTS, LOCAL NEWSPAPER SUBSCRIPTIONS, MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS, DECORATIONS, ETC.THE AVIARY FUND SUPPORTS THE MAINTENANCE OF THE AVIARY THAT HOLDS APPROXIMATELY 10-15 BIRDS.THE BEDS FUND SUPPORTS THE COST OF NEW ELECTRIC BEDS TO REPLACE ANY OUTDATED OR UNREPAIRABLE EXISTING BEDS.THE BUS/VAN FUND SUPPORTS THE COST OF MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP TO THE FACILITIE'S BUS AND VAN. DONATIONS ARE GIVEN FOR THE USE OF THE VEHICLES.THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FUND SUPPORTS ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN RENOVATION AND REMODELING PROJECTS.THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND SUPPORTS ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ONGOING RENOVATION AND REMODELING PROJECTS ON THE CAMPUS OF KENYON SENIOR LIVING.THE CHAPLAINCY FUND SUPPORTS THE COST TO PROVIDE SPIRITUAL SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS AT KENYON SENIOR LIVING. SPIRITUAL SERVICES INCLUDE: BIBLE STUDY, SUNDAY CHURCH SERVICE, HOLIDY SERVICES, ONE-ON-ONE COUNSELING, AND FAMILY SUPPORT.THE DIETARY FUND PROVIDES SUPPORT TO THE DIETARY DEPARTMENT. THIS FUND IS USED TO PURCHASE SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR MATIERALS NEEDED FOR DIETARY FUNCTIONS OR EVENTS.THE FUNDRAISING FUND HELPS SUPPORT ANY FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES HELD BY THE KENYON SUNSET HOME FOUNDATION.THE GUNDERSON GARDENS FUND SUPPORTS VARIOUS DAILY ACTIVITIES, SPECIAL EVENTS, BUS RIDES, ETC. FOR THE RESIDENTS OF GUNDERSON GARDENS.THE GUNDERSON GARDENS DECK FUND WAS DONATED MONEY TO CREATE A NEW DECK AND PATIO OUTSIDE OF GUNDERSON SUITES.THE GUNDERSON SUITES FUND SUPPORTS VARIOUS DAILY ACTIVITIES, SPECIAL EVENTS, BUS RIDES, ETC. FOR THE RESIDENTS OF GUNDERSON SUITES. (THIS IS OUR MEMORY CARE UNIT).THIS FUND WAS CREATED BY THE FOUNDATION TO ALLOW FOR A 'ONE TIME DESIGNATION' OF A PARTICULAR GIFT IF NECESSARY.THE TV/CABLE FUND SUPPORTS THE COST TO PROVIDE TV AND CABLE TO THREE COMMON TV AREAS IN THE KENYON SENIOR LIVING.THE UNRESTRICTED FUND SUPPORTS GENERAL AND/OR SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE KENYON SENIOR LIVING.
