Caring for Cats provides medical examinations, health screening tests, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and food for all cats we take into foster care, including pregnant and nursing cats, cats recovering from medical procedures, cats with medical conditions regarding ongoing veterinary care, and cats who are temporarily or permanently unsuitable for adoption. In 2022, we had 51 cats and kittens who were permanently or temporarily in need. This program also includes support via food and supplies delivered to their homes for individuals and cats in need.

Caring for cats provides a shelter for cats in need of care. Caring for Cats thoroughly vets all cats who enter the shelter. We provide vacinations, spay/neuter, and any necessary medications and treatment. We care, feed and shelter cats in our shelter building. We carefully match cats and future owners. We accept cats into our shelter and foster homes. We perform adoptions. We also provide a number of programs to engage with our community in the process of providing care for cats.

Providing medical care to cats in need of care, whether upon intake or for cats currently in our foster care or shelter, helps afford them the best chance of adoption, or eases their suffering when rehabilitation is not possible.
