ODC CONTINUES TO SERVE AS A CATALYST OF CREATIVE HOUSING PARTNERSHIPS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INVESTMENT STRATEGIESAND POLICY CONDUCIVE TO THE PRESERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPTIONS IN THE WEST SUBURBAN COMMUNITIES OF HAMEL, LONG LAKE, MEDINA, MEDICINE LAKE, MINNETONKA BEACH, ORONO, PLYMOUTH AND WAYZATA. IN TANDEM WITH OUR DEVELOPMENT PARTNER, ODC SECURED FUNDING SOURCES AND STATE TAX CREDITS NEEDED TO DEVELOP A 50-UNIT AFFORDABLE FAMILY RENTAL PROJECT IN MEDINA, MN. LAUNCHED AND EXECUTED ON FIRST PHASE OF A STRATEGIC PLAN TO STRENGTHEN CROSS-SECTOR HOUSING PARTNERSHIPS, IMPROVE ORGANIZATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND HEIGHTEN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND INVESTMENT IN HOUSING SOLUTIONS. OFFERED TENTATIVE INVESTMENT ON A 250-UNIT AFFORDABLE WORK-FORCE HOUSING PROJECT CONTINGENT UPON DEVELOPER ABILITY TO RECRUIT OTHER FUNDING SOURCES TO CLOSE THE PROJECT FUNDING GAP. PROVIDED BEST PRACTICE RECOMMENDATIONS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR ADOPTION OF A PLYMOUTH HOUSING FUND AND LAND USE ORDINANCE THAT WOULD COMPEL INCLUSION OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN A HOUSING PROJECT OR STIPULATE A SET ASIDE OF FUNDS "IN LIEU OF" ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION.
