IN TANDEM WITH OUR DEVELOPMENT PARTNER, ODC SECURED FUNDING SOURCES AND STATE TAX CREDITS NEEDED TO DEVELOP A 50-UNIT AFFORDABLE FAMILY RENTAL PROJECT IN MEDINA, MN. LAUNCHED AND EXECUTED ON FIRST PHASE OF A STRATEGIC PLAN TO STRENGTHEN CROSS-SECTOR HOUSING PARTNERSHIPS, IMPROVE ORGANIZATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND HEIGHTEN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND INVESTMENT IN HOUSING SOLUTIONS. OFFERED TENTATIVE INVESTMENT ON A 250-UNIT AFFORDABLE WORK-FORCE HOUSING PROJECT CONTINGENT UPON DEVELOPER ABILITY TO RECRUIT OTHER FUNDING SOURCES TO CLOSE THE PROJECT FUNDING GAP. LAUNCHED COMMUNITY WIDE QUARTERLY MEETINGS OF CITIZENS, HOUSING EXPERTS, CITY STAFF AND ELECTED OFFICIALS TO HEAR DIRECTLY FROM THE COMMUNITY AND TO GALVANIZE SUPPORT FOR HOUSING POLICIES THAT LAY THE GROUNDWORK FOR HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AND PRESERVATION. HOSTED PROBLEM-SOLVING SESSIONS FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO FACILITATE FUNDING FOR RESEARCH AND AWARENESS OF THE HOUSING NEED IN PLYMOUTH (THE LARGEST MUNICIPALITY IN THE ODC SERVICE AREA. PROVIDED BEST PRACTICE RECOMMENDATIONS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR ADOPTION OF A PLYMOUTH HOUSING FUND AND LAND USE ORDINANCE THAT WOULD COMPEL INCLUSION OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN A HOUSING PROJECT OR STIPULATE A SET ASIDE OF FUNDS "IN LIEU OF" ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION. CONTINUED TO UPGRADE AND VISIT OUR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLANS FOR THE PROJECTS CURRENTLY OWNED BY ODC.
