U-Turn 180 Youth Program - family meals, homework help, recreation, and creative arts workshops, camps during the summer, and facilitated discussion groups for high school students. 131 youth participated in 2023-24 programming. Reading program - as part of the youth program, we provide elementary students with before/after-school and 6-week summer reading support. 100% of students who attended 2024 Summer Reading Academy experienced an increase in literacy skills (and the rest maintained skills). This program is primarily supported by multi-year funding from Saint Paul Children's Collaborative. Back to School event - provides free backpacks with school supplies and connects families to community partners. In 2024, Family Values for Life distributed over 3800 backpacks filled with supplies, over 2000 hot meals, 20,455 pounds of produce, and 21,768 pounds of donated new clothes (socks, t-shirts, pants, pj's). In-kind value of clothing donations was $127,846. We served approximately 1050 families who had access to 34 community resources, bike helmets from the St. Paul Police Bike crew, bounce house, obstacle course, and more. More than 450 volunteer hours helped make this event possible.

Jump Start to the New You and other programs - helps single heads-of-household (mostly women) build skills, access resources, and become engaged parents, providers, and community members through weekly workshops and periodic events. In 2023-24, we provided 80 Jump Start to the New You workshops for 86 regular participants. 100% of regular participants reported increased social connectedness and support, 86% reported increased knowledge regarding financial literacy, and 100% took an action step to improve financial stability. Beauty for Ashes - grief and trauma counseling and support for women through individual and group settings. 44 women participated in Beauty for Ashes in 2023-24. Community outreach events - help build community and counter the social isolation felt by so many in poverty. 105 people attended the in-person annual Jump Start Conference (January 2024). The 2024 Mother's Day engaged over 100 registrants plus their kids and families (over 300 hundred in attendance. -Basic needs support - 3x/week food and quarterly household supplies distribution. From August 2023-July 2024, Family Values for Life and partners distributed 551,574 pounds of food to an unduplicated 2,390 households (7,860 individuals). We also gave 400 Thanksgiving and 110 Christmas food bundles in 2023. We are on track to distribute 1,871,495 pounds of food in 2024.

Family support - through case management and community referrals. It is our aim to be a "one-stop shop" for families in crisis, either by providing services or connecting them to what they need. In partnership with Ramsey County, we provided Family-Centered Coaching/case management to 37 families during August 2023-July 2024. The family coach made 358 referrals to additional families for other community resources. Our M Health Fairview Cultural Broker The Cultural Broker held 54 families (cases) over the last year, along with 504 additional families through referrals (encounters). Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies - provides prenatal and postpartum education and support. 40+ women participated in multiple workshop series. We held two group baby shower + doula showcase events that included information and equipping new moms with baby supplies, along with an additional graduation event. A second family coach works with the women in this program.
