The IGA promoted the common business interest of its members and worked to improve the business conditions of the gaming industry as we as the publics understanding and perception of the industry via the publication and distribution of informational mailings. Additionally, the IGA provided research on pertinent legislative issues plus conducted serveral surveys requested by its members to gain pertinent information on key industry areas. The IGA undertook an integrated public relations initiative to strengthen alliances with other key associations and conducted numberout media interviews on several pertinent gaming topics to heighten public awareness. The Association involved members in several meetings with regulatory agencies to succesfully clarify rules and jurisdictional issues. Additionally, the IGA regularly discusses topics of interest at their employee group meetings relating to human resources, security, surveillance, finance, community relations, and various state regulatory matters.
