THE ORGANIZATION COMMISSIONED TO DO A PROJECT ENTITLED "THE MOTHERSHIP" WITH THE ARTIST, YTO BARRADA. SHE IS CULTIVATING A NATURAL DYE GARDEN, CREATING A NEW DYE STUDIO, AND CENTER ON A SEMI-WILD PLOT OF LAND PERCHED ON THE COASTLINE OF TANGIER, MOROCCO. THE PLANTS WILL BE HARVESTED TO GENERATE A MICRO-PRODUCTION OF NATURAL DYES AND PIGMENTS SUFFICIENT TO SUSTAIN "THE MOTHERSHIP'S" WORKSHOP AND CLASSES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. A NEW DYE HOUSE AND STUDIO WILL BE BUILT TO ACCOMMODATE A WIDE RANGE OF CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, AND GATHERINGS. TAUGHT BY LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS, WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES WILL BE OFFERED IN DIFFERENT FORMATS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS, ARTISANS, TEXTILE SPECIALISTS, TEACHERS, HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS. FROM 2022 ONWARDS, "THE MOTHERSHIP" WILL WELCOME TWO NEW ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE, NOMINATED BY AN ADVISORY COUNCIL.

THE ORGANIZATION COMMISSIONED A LONG-TERM PROJECT WITH AMERICAN ARTIST, RONI HORN, IN 2007 FOR A SMALL TOWN ON THE COAST OF ICELAND. WHAT WAS ONCE A LIBRARY OF BOOKS IS NOW THE LIBRARY OF WATER, A SERIES OF COLLECTIONS GATHERED BY RONI HORN AND HER COLLABORATORS IN ICELAND. THE PROJECT IS OPEN TO VISITORS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS AND IS USED BY THE LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR VARIOUS PURPOSES INCLUDING MEETINGS, CONCERTS, CHESS CLUBS AND YOGA CLASSES. THE STUDIO IN THE BASEMENT WHICH ONCE STORED BOOKS IS NOW USED FOR A WRITER'S RESIDENCY FOR THREE MONTHS EACH SUMMER.
