VFW POST 3838 DONATES LABOR, FOOD, MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT, TRANSPORTATION, AND MONEY TO THOSE IN NEED BOTH VETERAN AND NON-VETERAN.THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTES AMERICANISM AND PATRIOTISM, GIVING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS AND YOUTH GROUPS. IT PROVIDES AMERICAN FLAGS TO SCHOOLS, YOUTH GROUPS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, AND PRIVATE CITIZENS WHO DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO PURCHASE THEIR OWN. VFW POST 3838 SPONSORS A SCOUT TROOP, CONDUCTS COMMUNITY WIDE SAFETY PROGRAMS, DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE PREVENTION PROGRAMS, SAFE DRIVING PROGRAMS, HUNTER SAFETY PROGRAMS, AND MANY OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICE EVENTS.
