ALEXIAN COURT IS A 109-UNIT APARTMENT BUILDING FOR LOW INCOME SENIOR CITIZENS. AS A H.U.D. SECTION 202 ELDERLY HOUSING FACILITY, ALEXIAN COURT UNITS ARE RENT SUBSIDIZED, ENABLING OLDER ADULTS TO LIVE IN CLEAN, SAFE SURROUNDINGS WHEN OTHERWISE THEIR INCOME LEVEL WOULD NOT PERMIT THEM ACCESS TO ADEQUATE HOUSING. IN ADDITION TO BASIC RESIDENTIAL SERVICES, RESIDENTS OF ALEXIAN COURT HAVE AVAILABLE TO THEM A VARIETY OF ENRICHING RECREATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. ALEXIAN COURT ALSO SPONSORS MANY OTHER HEALTH PROMOTION PROGRAMS FOR THE COMMUNITY AS WELL AS THE RESIDENTS, INCLUDING SEMINARS ON ILLNESS AND DISEASE FOR SPECIFIC GROUPS, ALL OF WHICH ARE OFFERED AT NO CHARGE. IN ADDITION, THE FACILITY IS USED FOR NEIGHBORHOOD TOWN MEETINGS AS WELL AS A POLLING LOCATION. THAT ALEXIAN (SEE SCHEDULE O FOR CONTINUATION) COURT'S PRESENCE REPRESENTS A VITALLY NEEDED COMMUNITY SERVICE IS EVIDENT FROM THE FACT THAT IT WAS ALMOST FULLY OCCUPIED THROUGHOUT FISCAL YEAR 2021 AND 2022. AS PART OF THE ASCENSION CATHOLIC HEALTH MINISTRY, THE FILING ORGANIZATION SERVED IN SUPPORT OF ASCENSION'S COMMITMENT TO BOTH CARE FOR PATIENTS AND COMMUNITIES AND SUPPORT CAREGIVERS AND ASSOCIATES THROUGH THE CHALLENGES OF THE COVID-19 GLOBAL PANDEMIC IN 2020 & 2021. THE APARTMENT BUILDING WAS CLASSIFIED AS HELD FOR SALE AS OF MAY 31, 2021 AND SOLD DURING 2022.
