The efforts to restore the Laugh O Gram Studio in Kansas City represent more than just a fascination with Walt Disney and his incredible life. They represent our opportunity to preserve a part of history that would have otherwise disappeared and will ultimately serve as a catalyst to link education and hope with our youth, enabling them to become true leaders in the community. The goal is to complete a historic rehabilitation of the building and to develop programming in the areas of animation, digital storytelling and media.The building, Walt Disneys first cartoon studio, is an important part of Disney and Kansas City history. In 2023 Thank You Walt Disney, Inc., completed several renovation items at the Laugh O Gram Studio, including the installation of second floor windows, tuckpointing and the installation of new terra cotta sills. We hosted several tours of the Studio with historic perspectives and lectures. We participated in several media programs, discussing the history of Walt Disney and the various animators who worked in Kansas City and went on to Hollywood. We continued fundraising for the restoration of the Laugh-O-Gram Studio in Kansas City.
