OF THESE CALLS, 163 WERE FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES, 141 WERE FOR GRASS FIRES, 27 FOR STRUCTURE FIRES, 50 FOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS, 9 TO ESTABLISH LANDING ZONES and 13 OTHER CALLS. MEMBERS CONTINUED THEIR TRAINING AFTER EACH REGULAR MEETING, CONDUCTED ON THE FIRST AND THIRD MONDAYS OF EACH MONTH. THE DEPARTMENT ALSO CONTINUES TO PARTICIPATE IN LARGER GROUP TRAINING ACTIVITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO BROADEN THEIR RESPONSE TO THEIR RURAL COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION, EACH MEMBER CONTRIBUTES TIME TOWARD MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT.
