The Dunn County Historical Society maintains a Museum for historical and educational purposes which is available to the public for viewing of historical artifacts and photographs and to research and view family and community history and genealogy. Facilities include a main Museum building, a building to display machinery and vehicles, a former bank building and a former country school house. Educational opportunities for tours, including students from local schools, are available year round. The DCHS also provides for the ability to collect Oral Histories and to make them available to the public in audio and book formats. The DCHS has published two collections of historical information of families who homesteaded and lived in Dunn County and a new edition to collect more information and update family information from the previous volumns is currently being worked on. Genealogy classes which include helpful information for doing reseach and creating and preserving family ancestries and histories is provided to the public monthly. These family genealogies will also be a part of the DCHS's collections for research.
