Founded in 2002, Chelan Douglas County Volunteer Attorney Services (CDCVAS) was based on the principle of access to justice, for all! In 2024, Chelan Douglas County Volunteer Attorney Services had 46 attorneys volunteered their time to provide 477 hours of pro bono legal services to low-income clients residing in, or with a case pending in Chelan and Douglas Counties. Together, staff, contracted, and pro bono attorneys facilitated a total of 2,026 hours of free legal services. Civil legal aid services provided in 2024 included cases regarding Consumer law, Employment, Family Law, Housing, Wills and Estates, and other issues like driver's licenses, social security, etc. The organization adopted a new three-year strategic plan and held staff and board retreats that included race, diversity, equity, and inclusion training for all.
