THE ORGANIZATION UTILIZES A CERIFIED GENELOGIST TO DOCUMENT TRIBAL MEMBERSHIP AND GATHER FAMILY TREES GOING BACK TO THE 1700'S. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS AND/OR PARTICIPATES IN NUMEROUS PRESENTATIONS AT LOCAL MUSEUMS AND HISTORICAL EVENETS EDUCATING THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT THE CULTURE OF THE GABRIELENOS.THE TRIBE STRIVES TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF IT'S MEMBERS LIVES BY PROVIDING ECONOMIC OPPORUNITIES AS WELL AS ACHIEVING FEDERAL RECOGNITION. THE TRIBE ALSO STRIVES TO PROTECT THE CULTURE AND TRADITIONAL PRACTICES OF THE GABRIELENO PEOPLE BY PROTECTING AND PRESERVING THE TRIBE'S SACRED SITES AND RESOURCES AS GOVERNED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ALONG WITH EDUCATING IT'S MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC
