Windsong School served a diverse student body of 170 students in the 2023-2024 school year. Through our Tuition Affordability Program, we were able to support access for 77 low-income students, ensuring that more families could experience the benefits of a Waldorf-inspired eduction. Our dedicated team included 12 full- and part-time lead teachers, along with 7 support staff members who contributed to a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.Throughout the year, Wingsong offered a robust slate of parent education evenings and community enrichment events--including craft socials, book clubs, and workshops--many presented in partnership with the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN). We also continued our collaboration with the Rosalie Murrey Memorial Foundation, a local non-profit that provides tuition scholarships to eligible Early Childhood students. Our community once again came together for the annual Knit-a-Thon, one of our most successful and beloved fundraisers. This year, participants created more than five handmade blankets, which were donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital. The event not only strengthens community connections but also fosters meaningful partnerships with organizations thorughout the Spokane area. As we grow, Windsong remains deeply committed to its identity as one of the few Waldorf-inspired educational programs in the Spokane region, continuing to cultivate its roots and expand its impact in our community.
